Welcome to the Bacteriology Section of Microbiology section of Clinical Pathology.

Bacteriology is the collection of specimens from patients or the environment, testing them for bacteria, evaluating the results, and determination of effectiveness of antibiotics through verification or absence of resistance.

LSUHSC has highly qualified staff to assist you with any question in this area.
