Renal Consultative Services offers consultations in renal pathology and
urologic pathology (notably renal neoplasia); both represent subspecialties
of diagnostic interest and academic productivity. It is our hope that

Pathology Consultative Services at LSUHSC-S emphasizes:

Rapid turn-around-time: the light microscopy with special stains and immunofluorescence stains are out the day the biopsy arrives.

Direct communication with the referring nephrologist the day a biopsy arrives.

Direct contact with the clinician on all cases prior to sign out ensures that the diagnosis is not only correct, but is also properly focused on the critical questions raised.
