Pathology Residency Program

Educational Goals and Philosophy

TrainingThe primary goal of the residency program is to prepare the resident for a career practicing Anatomic and Clinical Pathology in a community service-oriented hospital, laboratory, or academic institution. The program is founded on the philosophy that the highest degree of academic excellence and professionalism can only be accomplished through teamwork, dedication, and personal growth.

Teamwork is essential to achieve a successful program. The dedicated, caring staff of expert pathologists, including the chairman, and all support personnel eagerly embrace opportunities to actively participate in the daily education and personal growth of each resident and fellow. Through these daily interactions, the individual develops the skills necessary to attain a long and successful career.

Hospital, Medical School, and Pathology Administration are strongly committed to the overall success of the Residency Program. Support is evident through both financial commitment and facility allocation. Office space, computer resources, digital photography, imaging capabilities, and a major medical library are provided. New technology and informational resources are continuously introduced to ensure that the latest technological advancements are available.
