LSUHSC Outreach Services

The Cytogenetics Laboratory at LSUHSC-S is advancing patient care using an integrated, multidisciplinary approach. Patients benefit from the information generated by our state-of-the-art diagnostic testing and consultative services. Tests include chromosome analyses for hematological disorders, multiple congenital anomalies, history of spontaneous miscarriages, ambiguous genitalia, infertility, amenorrhea, potential chromosomal abnormalities, suspected chromosomal syndrome, and male predominant mental retardation.
