Welcome to the Supply Procurement Section for the Department of Pathology.

Dr. William J. Russell is the Administrative Supply Procurement Officer for the LSUHSC Clinical Laboratory. He is extremely knowledgeable in procurement of supplies and the use of the PeopleSoft Computer Program.

  • Meeting with account and service representatives.
  • Collating and submitting information from laboratory managers to obtain bid offers.
  • Initiating procurement of supplies for Clinical Laboratory areas.
  • Interactions with Accounts Payable and Purchasing to insure timely acquisition of supplies.
  • Verification of deliveries.
  • Establishing appropriate just-in-time delivery schedules with contracted companies.
