for Transfusion Services.
College
of American Pathologist accreditation is for Anatomic and
Clinical Pathology.
CMS
is the federal agency for laboratory accreditaion.
Joint
Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations is
accreditation for all hospital / clinic functions.
U.S.
Food and Drug Administration accreditation is for Transfusion Services,
but labortories must also report any serious problems with products.
