Retired policies and procedures are maintained in the LSUHSC Pathology Services Outreach Director's Office for a minimum of 2 years. Notification of retirement as well as implementation of new policies and procedures are typically performed via e-mail notification to the appropriate laboratory manager. Each manager is responsible for updating their personnel of the changes or arranging training via the Outreach Director. Training is performed via one of the following mechanisms:
  • Supervisory personnel or their designee train all employees directly.
  • Information relayed via staff meetings in each area with signed attendance sheets.
NOTE: Retired policies and procedures are available upon request.
